Help Eliminate Organ Donation Waiting Lists

The Katie Caples Foundation was started in 1998 by the family of Katie Caples, a young high school student from Jacksonville who became an organ and tissue donor after not surviving the trauma of an automobile accident.

The Katie Ride is a cycling event in which novices to advanced riders may participate to raise awareness of the need for all of us to make an organ donation commitment. Riders also raise funds for a unique organ donor education program at the high school level.
